MotoGP 2020 – Season review

What a season. What a MotoGP year 2020. The pandemic has upset everything. For a long time it looked as if there would be no season at all. As if the 2020 MotoGP season had ended in Qatar before it even started.

It was all on the line. With a great deal of effort, a lot of organization, a sophisticated hygiene concept and the commitment of every single person, the 2020 MotoGP season not only started, but also ended successfully.

We saw breathtaking races, so many different winners and great overtaking maneuvers. We saw a world champion who won by being consistent and we saw new stars rising. Joan Mir, Fabio Quartararo, Miguel Oliveira, Franco Morbidelli, they were all able to inspire. Even an Alex Marquez managed to step out of his brother’s shadow. We saw new manufacturers on the podium and the established ones had to work hard.

This 2020 season was so different and yet so good. On this last race weekend we discovered something new again. We got to know a track that was actually only a stopgap solution and was able to inspire all along the line. We really wish that Portimao would make its way into the 2021 racing calendar.

Let’s see what 2021 has in store for us.
